We Are on a Mission to Serve the Underserved

Helping Hands: Health and Human Services, Nepal is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering free, high-quality healthcare and humanitarian aid to Nepal’s most vulnerable communities—including Bhutanese refugees, displaced families, and rural laborers. We believe healthcare is a basic human right, and we work tirelessly to make it accessible, fair, and empowering.

Transforming Communities Through Research & Care

Where Research, Compassion, and Care Come Together

At Helping Hands, we don’t just provide care—we build systems that last. In partnership with Health and Education for All (HAEFA), our current projects are addressing the complex physical and mental health needs of Nepal’s refugee and marginalized communities through a holistic, community-based approach.

Research & Implementation Initiatives

We are conducting evidence-based research on mental health, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, malnutrition, and more—collecting critical data to shape culturally appropriate and integrated healthcare responses. These studies are helping us understand the link between physical and mental health challenges in displaced populations.

Helping Hands & HAEFA Health Clinics

We are establishing community health clinics in Bhutanese refugee camps to offer free, high-quality medical services. These clinics provide direct care and serve as hubs for public health education, disease prevention, and research.

From chronic illness management to trauma-informed mental health support, our clinics are a beacon of hope for those who’ve long been underserved.

Community Empowerment & Training

Our model includes continuous training for local healthcare workers, volunteers, and patients. Topics range from hygiene and nutrition to mental health promotion and family planning—ensuring sustainable, grassroots impact.
